Congratulations to our Elder Care Coordinator, Claire Merendino, RN, CDP, who is celebrating 5 years at Bratton Law Group! As part of our life care planning team, Claire assists our clients and their families to attain the highest quality of life given their circumstances so they no longer have to manage the complexities of care coordination alone.

Over the past 5 years, Claire has helped countless clients navigate the long-term care system with ongoing support, resources and guidance. To celebrate her work anniversary here at Bratton Law Group, we asked Claire a few questions about her time here at Bratton Law Group which she answered below.

Why did you decide you wanted to become a nurse? I always loved science and biology in school, plus my mom was a nurse and I followed in her footsteps.

What do you do in your free time? I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, and traveling to Disney.

What is your favorite part of your job? I enjoy providing our clients and families with the education and information that they need to navigate today’s healthcare system and understand their benefits they are entitled to. It is a very confusing healthcare system that we have in the US and can be challenging to navigate and understand what things are paid for and not. I cannot change the rules, but I can provide our clients with an understanding of the healthcare system as it is and help them in navigating it with more understanding.

Tell us something that may surprise us about you? I helped set up a medical clinic in the Amazon Rainforest with other medical professionals and helped the people living in the area with healthcare and surgical care for two weeks.
