An Important Message from Bratton Estate & Elder Care Attorneys

News

At Bratton Estate & Elder Care Attorneys, we continue to closely follow the news about the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and are doing our best to protect our clients, community partners, and ourselves. At this time, we are having our staff operate remotely. We understand that elder care law needs still exist during this difficult time and we will continue to provide the same level of service to our clients, their families and our community partners as we always have in the past.

Our elder care attorneys will still be available to help in any way we can. We will now be offering the following options for client appointments:

  • In office for emergent situations.
  • Video Conferencing – Available through GoToMeeting (a user-friendly video conferencing software). Clients will be able to access the conference via an email link. No web camera is required.
  • Phone Conferencing – easy and reliable

We will continue to offer in-person consultations for new clients only. We understand that many families prefer this option and we want to ensure them that all CDC safety precautions will be taken very seriously. This includes frequent use of hand sanitizer, frequent disinfecting of office conference rooms, refraining from shaking hands, disposing of pens, social distancing, and sterilizing all surfaces. In an effort to minimize exposure, you will be meeting with the attorneys only. All other staff will be working from home.

We are closely following all recommendations from the World Health Organization (WHO) and other public health organizations, and are taking all the steps necessary to promote health and safety. We are also staying up-to-date with all updates and statements impacting the Garden State through the New Jersey COVID-19 Information Hub.

We would like to assure all of our clients that our staff is fully prepared to work for you from home. We will have access to clients’ documents and all systems necessary to communicate. All confidential information will continue to be protected even with our employees working remotely. Rest assured, we are open, and employees will continue to have access to emails, fax, etc. as usual. Our phone lines are open and clients can continue to call our direct office number to speak with an employee.

We know that many of our clients are understandably concerned about their elderly loved ones who are living in long-term care communities. We would like to reassure our clients and their families that we are here for you now more than ever. Our Elder Care Coordinators are aware of the growing number of facilities increasing visitor restrictions in order to protect the most vulnerable. Although our usual visits may be interrupted, our ECCs will continue to advocate for our clients with care providers and facilities. Additionally, we have processes in place that allow us to handle client matters remotely, including changes in the law, that we will keep you abreast of.

We know that business is not as usual, but we will continue to do what we do best which is, advocate for our clients, help them plan for their future, and provide the highest level of service available.

Stay safe and stay positive! We will get through this together.
